On November 4, 2011, a day deemed “W-Day,” the University of Washington celebrated its 150th anniversary. The UW community gathered in Red Square to commemorate this momentous occassion, celebrating 150 years of accomplishments and also the school’s bright, long future to come.
With big sponsors like Microsoft and T-Mobile, UW wanted bright, noticeable, larger-than-life signs to properly recognize the donors and advertise for the important day. They decided to team up with Washington Graphics LLC to create 3 vinyl banners to hang from the main tent as well as fifteen A-board graphics to place around campus.
These waterproof banners and A-boards proved to the perfect weather-resistant choice for the rainy November 4th day. The royal purple vinyl contrasted beautifully with the white tent, and the A-boards worked wonderfully directing visitors to the right spot on campus.
Founded in 1861, UW is the oldest public university on the West Coast. The institution has three campuses in Bothell, Tacoma, and the largest in Seattle. The University occupies about 500 buildings with over 20 million square feet of space and is home to approximately 30,000 undergraduates and 12,000 postgraduates.
Media such as banners and A-boards offer the perfect solution for organizing and advertising for big events such as this one. Washington Graphics LLC would love to work with you individually to create that ‘wow’ factor for your next big occasion. Whether it be a wedding, trade show, farmer’s market, or festival, we would love to hear from you! For a free estimate, call 425.376.0877 today!
